About Julia
Julia is a certified practising speech pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia and Director/Founder of Foothills Speech Pathology. She holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from La Trobe University and completed further studies in Health Professional Education via Monash University. Julia has over 15 years’ experience working across the lifespan, in hospitals, early intervention, private practice, primary schools and as a clinical educator, helping to develop the next generation of speech pathologists.
Julia has a particular interest in working with pre-school-aged children in the area of early language development, speech sound development, and school readiness. Julia is passionate about working with children at their level, and she is committed to creating a fun and personalised therapy environment. Julia is committed to lifelong learning and is certified in Hanen: It Takes Two to Talk, for children with language delay, and Sounds-Write, an evidence-based, systematic, synthetic phonics literacy.
Things That Make Me, Me!
Julia is a mum – first and foremost. She loves weekend adventures with her family and dinners with friends. The sunshine in the summer makes her happy, and quiet time reading or doing puzzles
